MDPL took these drone images on March 13th, one day after the bulldozers began demolishing the iconic porte cochere of the historic Deauville Hotel, 6701 Collins Avenue. MDPL has appealed the demolition decision of the Building Official to the Miami-Dade County Board of Rules and Appeals. The hearing is scheduled for April 21st.
In the meantime, MDPL is working to find out how the demolition of the iconic porte cochere features were authorized while there is a pending appeal to Miami-Dade County.
