The Miami Design Preservation League and the Wolfsonian-FIU present a day of talks during the annual Art Deco Weekend on Saturday, Jan. 10, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year’s theme, Land, Air & Sea, explores how Art Deco shaped everything from ocean liners and airplanes to sleek cars and modern interiors. At 4 p.m., the Wolfsonian will have a library open house featuring Koizumi Kishio’s 1930s plates of Tokyo, a display curated by FIU art history professor Lidu Yi’s students.
