Oolite Arts’ “It Was Always About You… is an intimate celebration of a community of artists who have had a significant relationship with Oolite Arts over the course of its four-decade history on Lincoln Road. Shepherded by a ceramic work from Oolite’s late founder Ellie Schneiderman, this show is scaled for an intimate viewing of each individual work.
This exhibition includes the work of more than 40 artists, encompassing a wide range of practices and mediums. From flat visual works to sculpture pieces, mixed-media collages, and short-form videos, our summer salon-style hang allows for the diverse entries to be viewed in conversation with one another. The gallery becomes a proxy for the many years of service to artists in our community, bringing them together to celebrate our lasting bond. “It Was Always About You…” reminds us that Oolite Arts has always put supporting artists first.
Join us for the opening of the exhibition July 12th, 6 – 8 p.m. by registering here.
