Head out to Ocean Drive on Dec. 28 for the next concert presented by the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series featuring Electric Piquete. Formed in the summer of 2007, Electric Piquete is a two-time Miami New Times “Best Latin Band” award-winning Latin funk band whose new recording, “Azabache”, is a full-length collection of new and mostly instrumental music. These free weekly concerts are free and open to the public, and take place in Lummus Park between 14th Street and 14th Place, or inside The Betsy Hotel if it rains. Bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair ahead of the 5 p.m. start time. This program is part of the weekly Promenade Sunday Concert Series underwritten by The City of Miami Beach, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau and The Ocean Drive Association.
