The program centers on “Worm”, Rodriguez’s first graphic novel and a personal political memoir. Actors will bring the book to life with live readings and staged performance. The evening also features a screening of the documentary “Edel Rodriguez: Freedom Is a Verb”, directed by Mecky Creus and Adrienne Hall for the PBS American Masters series. The film traces Rodriguez’s journey as a Cuban-American artist, highlighting his children’s books and satirical magazine covers.
