Deering Estate Concert Featuring Artist-in-Residence Susana Behar

Enjoy an evening of song honoring women at the historic Deering Estate. The Women’s History Month Concert takes place Sunday, March 29, featuring a performance by Artist-in-Residence Susana Behar and her ensemble, who’ll perform songs in Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, Ladino and more. Behar is a Miami-based vocalist whose work spans Sephardic music and Cuban and South American folk traditions, and she has performed internationally in North and South America, Israel and Japan. The concert also features Miami-based guitarist, composer and educator Michel Gonzalez, Cuban percussionist Michael Font, Cuban-born flutist and composer Magela Herrera, and Venezuelan bassist and arranger Elvis Martinez. Tickets cost $30 and proceeds support the Deering Estate’s cultural arts programming.
