Coleman + Copland Orchestra Concert

Come enjoy orchestral music in a program that highlights three composers who have helped define the United States’ musical identity. Coleman + Copland will be performed at the New World Center on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 8, at 2:00 p.m. Conductor Ryan Bancroft leads the program, which opens with Charles Ives’s “Country Band March”, then the program continues with Valerie Coleman’s “Renaissance”, a new concerto for orchestra inspired by the Harlem Renaissance and The Great Migration. The evening closes with Aaron Copland’s “Symphony No. 3”.
