Join the Pérez Art Museum Miami’s (PAMM) Art + Soul honoree, Fab 5 Freddy, in conversation with Franklin Sirmans, Sandra and Tony Tamer director at PAMM for a great discussion. Across art, music, film, and television, Fab 5 Freddy has spent decades breaking down barriers between high and popular culture, amplifying Black creativity on a global stage. Born Fred Brathwaite, Fab 5 Freddy emerged as a graffiti artist before becoming a central figure in the rise of hip-hop culture. His work was recently featured at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and his memoir “Everybody’s Fly” will be published this March by Penguin Random House.Live translation will be available in American Sign Language, Spanish, and Haitian Creole.
