Head to Lummus Park between 14th Street and 14th Place on Jan. 4 for a performance featuring 5 String Swing as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series. The Ocean Drive Association presents these free, weekly concerts open to everyone, just bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair ahead of the 5 p.m. showtime. Rainy-day location is inside The Betsy Hotel. 5 String Swing is a Swing Band led by jazz violinist Dr. Steffen Zeichner, with Dr. Greg Diamond on guitar, Dr. Benjamin Whitman on upright bass, and Flexter Henderson on clarinet and cajon. The group provides its own take on swing and jazz!
