Miami Beach is home to a beautiful and vibrant coral reef, just a short swim from our shores. Join us on February 26th from 7 PM to 9 PM for an engaging discussion about this incredible ecosystem, the challenges it faces, and how you can help protect it. The evening will feature insightful presentations followed by snacks and refreshments, offering a chance to connect with fellow ocean enthusiasts and local environmental organizations

What We’ll Be Discussing:

1) Who’s Living in Our Backyard
Discover some of the fascinating coral and fish species that thrive just off the coast of Miami Beach.

2) The Current Status of Coral Reef Protection
Learn about the latest efforts to safeguard Miami Beach’s coral reef and what still needs to be done.

3) An Introduction to Coral Reef Ecosystems and Their Current Plight
Presented by Dr. Shireen Rahimi, this talk will provide an overview of the delicate balance of coral reef ecosystems and the threats they face.

4) How You Can Get Involved
Find out how you can take action to protect our reef and meet new friends who share your passion for ocean conservation. Connect with local environmentally focused non-profits working to preserve our natural environment.
