With so much to do around town, the options can be overwhelming… so we’ve put together this guide to help navigate the festivities.
1. Bookmark the City of Miami Beach’s Online Art Week Guide
The best place to view all of the arts and culture offerings throughout Miami Beach this week is on the city’s Art Week web page: click here.
[Tip: We have print-outs of the map available at the Art Deco Welcome Center while supplies last. You can also click the image below and it will open a PDF which you can save on your computer or mobile phone]
2. Explore Public Art Projects as part of “No Vacancy Miami Beach”
Explore and vote for your favorite! Read our blog post about the historic places and beautiful spaces for this year’s competition. The works will be on display through December 14th.
3. Attend a panel discussion at the Art Deco Museum
MDPL continues its Art Week series in partnership with CADA (Contemporary African Diaspora Art), curated by Ludlow Bailey. Visit the museum during the weekend to see a temporary pop-up exhibition. In addition, two panels will be taking place:
Saturday, December 9th: CADA Panel on University Art Collections
Sunday, December 10th: 14th Annual Panel Discussion on Contemporary African Diaspora Art
4. Explore the Art Deco Museum Exhibitions:
“Radio Waves: Miami Beach and the Golden Age of Radio” featuring antique radios from the 1920s-1960s
Museum admission is free for all Miami-Dade County Residents and we are open 7 days per week, 9am-5pm
“Save My Little Havana: Steve Wright Photo Exhibit” as part of our Featured Local Artist Program
5. Take a Walking Tour
