Apply to the Board of Directors

Thank you for your interest in applying to the MDPL Board of Directors. The deadline to apply is September 1st, 2024.

To be eligible for Board Membership, applicants must be an MDPL member in good standing for at least one year with a second year renewal. [The Board may waive this requirement for candidates who enhance diversity within the organization.]

Board Giving Requirements: Minimum pledge of $1,000 annually, of which $500 must be a direct cash/stock donation and the remaining $500 can be from fundraising; members may request a waiver from the Board Chair in the case of a financial hardship.

Attendance: minimum 50% of board meetings – approximately 4-5 meetings per year. Participation on at least one board subcommittee: Advocacy, Finance/Legal, Membership, Programs / Art Deco Weekend, Fundraising and Marketing, Museum Programs
