Come out to Ocean Drive on Oct. 19 to hear a performance by the FIU Latin Jazz Ensemble, as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series. The Ocean Drive Association presents this free, weekly concert series on the lawn. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Showtime is at 6 p.m. The FIU Latin Jazz Ensemble, which includes undergraduate and graduate students, presents a retrospective of Latin jazz styles of the past 50 years, including Afro-Caribbean rhythmic styles and Cuban folklore. It will take place in Lummus Park between 14th Street and 14th Place or at The Betsy Hotel if it rains. This program is part of the weekly Promenade Sunday Concert Series generously underwritten by The City of Miami Beach, The GMCVB and The Ocean Drive Association.
