Join the Bakehouse for an afternoon of art, community, and skating! This program celebrates “Strange Natures“, currently on view in the Swenson Gallery, through a collaborative zine-making workshop led by Bakehouse artist Christine Cortes and an outdoor skate session with local collective Skate Nymphs. The event starts at 1 p.m. with check in, then a walk through of the exhibit at 1:30 p.m. The Zine workshop starts at 2 p.m. and from 3 to 6 p.m. skate and zine hangout on the Bakehouse patio. Bring your own gear to skate.
Attendees are welcome to submit personal images in advance for printing by emailing them to [email protected]. Complimentary beverages will be served, including yerba mate courtesy of Yerba Mate! All are welcome. Please enter through the pedestrian gate adjacent to the yellow building facing 32nd Street. Free street parking is available on 32nd Street and 6th Avenue. Ride share recommended.
