Celebrate the timeless style and cultural legacy of the Guayabera at the
Guayabera Day Designation Celebration on June 27 at The Havana Collection on Calle Ocho, presented by Calle Ocho News. The guayabera is a symbol of Hispanic heritage, craftsmanship, and fashion.
This year’s celebration also honors the late George Feldenkreis, a key figure in bringing the Guayabera into mainstream North American fashion. Founder of Supreme International—now Perry Ellis International—Feldenkreis helped popularize the garment through decades of leadership and innovation, including the 2000 launch of Cubavera, a brand known for blending traditional Latin styles with modern design. A tribute to his contributions will be part of the evening’s program.
Attendees can expect complimentary Cuban cuisine and beverages, along with live entertainment that reflects the vibrancy of Hispanic music and culture. Admission is free and open to the public.
