Design and Architecture Senior High School’s 11th Grade Students create Retail Pop-Ups for Lincoln Road. The exhibition is inspired by Morris Lapidus, mentored by professor Eric Hankin & architect Deborah Desilets.
“It is great that the students are studying what is now the most prominent and celebrated pedestrian mall in the country. It was amazing to collaborate with the DASH Students and Deborah Desilets, co-producer of our Morris Lapidus Exhibition: “I Did It My Way.” This educational program was a nice complement to the series of lectures held at the Art Deco Museum. Lapidus was studied and interpreted by the students, ensuring a continuation of his legacy. In the future, as the students work with the Cooper Hewitt Design Competition they can note that they have studied him. The Cooper Hewitt Museum gave Lapidus his National Design Award as an American Original.”
