ELIZABETH G. CAMARGO, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP
Elizabeth Camargo is the founding principal of EC Architecture + Design. Since 2004 the
boutique design firm located in Miami Beach has been offering a wide range of services in
architecture and interior design for commercial, entertainment and residential projects.
Elizabeth brings to clients her extensive experience acquired while working in several nationally renowned architectural firms in New York, Los Angeles and Miami.
Elizabeth was the president of the Miami Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in 2017 and is currently the AIA Florida president-elect. She also serves on the City of Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board and the Bal Harbour Village Architectural Review Board. She is a registered member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, the Brazilian Institute of Architects and the United States Green Building Council. She received the AIA Miami Architect of the Year Award in 2018 and the Sustainable Architect of the Year in 2023.
Elizabeth graduated in Architecture and Planning in her native Brazil, and obtained a Master’s degree in Architectural Science with a focus on environmental design from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has been on the faculty of the Florida International University, School of Architecture, and a guest juror at the University of Miami, School of Architecture.
