The 16th World Congress on Art Deco has arrived and we are revisiting some of the event’s highlights!
Last Friday, April 21, we celebrated day three of the main congress in Miami and Miami Beach.
The day began with VIP speeches at the Jewish Museum-FIU, followed by the “Hidden in Plain Sight” walking tour and an additional tour of the museum.
After lunch and some lectures, guests headed to North Miami, where they visited some of its finest galleries and explored the Copperbridge Foundation’s latest exhibition on Art Deco and Modernism.
Finally, the day was wrapped with a buffet dinner and entertainment, courtesy of the Copperbridge Foundation. Delegates and preservationists from fellow Art Deco Societies worldwide gathered for the occasion. Many dressed in Arabian Nights attire and Deco-era clothing for the themed celebration.
